My Interests and Hobies
My current interests and hobies include developing websites, simple video editing, computing activities, watching blockbuster movies, dvd's, and some sports.

I also like to complete surveys and questionnaires online in exchange the rewards, such as points that can be redeemed in exchange for a selection of gifts, and amazon vouchers.

My interests have changed quite a lot since a couple of years ago, including the type of job that I wanted to do. Originally, I was intending on trying to get a job as a software developer using Visual Basic as I had been developing software personally in Visual Basic for several years, but when I came to doing a years work placement at university, I applied for a job as a website developer using ASP/ASP.NET, and i got the job. After a year of doing this job on my work placement, I then realised that i really enjoyed it, and that I would like to have a career as a website development using ASP.

A brief description of my life
I was born on the 20th January 1981, and due to complications, there were problems at birth, resulting in me having a disability called Cerabral Palsey. My disability affected me physically, limiting me to how far I can walk without getting tired and pains in my legs. Instead of going to a mainstream primary school, I went to a specialist school, called Horton Lodge Primary School, where i was given daily physio therapy to help with my walking.

However, at the age of 8 years old, my parents wanted me to receive an education, which i was not really being given at Horton Lodge due to the amount of Physio Therapy i was receiving. So, they arranged for me to be transferred to a mainstream primary school close to home.

Following primary school, i then went to St. Peters Church of England High School. However, at the age of 15, i was accidentally knocked down some stairs and banged my knee of the wall. I then had to have home schooling for a few months while my legs recovered.

I then went to college following High School, studying a variety of courses, including retaking my GCSE maths and english, which I did not do very well at in High School. During my first year at college, I went to Oswestry Hospital to have a major operation on my legs to release tendons, and help me to walk straighter. I spent eight weeks in hospital recovering and taking intense physio therapy to get my legs working again following the operation.

After 4 years in college, gaining a GNVQ in Advanced Information Technology, I then went to University to gain an BEng Software Developer (Hons) Degree. The third year of my University degree was a 1 year work placement, which I did with a Company called Artera Group Inc. My job involved developing and maintaining an internet based CRM system using ASP. In June 2005, after 4 years, I completed my university degree, and gained an Upper Second Class Honours Degree, or a 2:1, in Software Engineering.

I am now working for a website development company called CSI Media, who mainly develop websites for the Travel Industry.

My Trips to Australia
The reason that I first started visiting Australia was because our family hosted a girl from Australia called Jaqui in our home, as part of a Scouting Exchange Programme. Jaqui stayed with us for several months, and ever since, we have been great friends with Jaqui and her whole family. So far, i have visited our friends in australia 3 times, who have been kind enough to let us stay in their home each time. They live in Perth, and so far, that is where we have been to.

This december (2006), I will be visiting Australia again with my parents, however, this time, we will be visiting a few other places before going to stay with our friends again. This time, we will be firstly going to sydney, which i am truely looking forward to. From there, we will be going to Cairns, and then Ayres Rock. We will then be going back down to perth to spend some time with our friends before flying home on New Years Day.

Some people that have asked if I have thought of taking a holiday somewhere other than Australia. Well, I have been to Corfu, and although it was a good, hot holiday, i do prefer Australia. I would like to visit somewhere like new york, and stay in a nice hotel, with room service, and other things like that.
